16 hour days plus weekends
I have been really really really busy. Rebecca misses me and I am in the same hotel room. I guess the upside is I can't really work more hours, just about every minute of my time is work/sleep/food/hygiene at this point. This experience has convinced me I would never want to work at home. With Eleanor screaming when put to bed while I am on conference calls or trying to focus on complex programming issues really disrupts the thought process. Since the hotel room is just that, one room, I can't close off the noise and I just have to push through the distractions. The upside is Rebecca and I will fully appreciate our comparatively huge house when we get back.

when you get back....
And the date is ....
*drumroll*
As far as I know, I get back May 4th or 5th, but it may change to be a 1-2 months longer so early June or July. I have not heard that it has changed but I have not gotten a ticket home either.
This makes me so sad for you and them- I hope you get like 2 paid weeks off when you get back to reconnect with your family.
May 4th or 5th sounds good to me!
If you need an excuse to make it may 5th, you can just tell them its your favorite brother in law's birthday, and you CAN'T miss it. :)
I want you to go home, too. I remember what it was like to live on the road, and I did work 18 hours a day, sometimes longer. It wasn't any fun.
Keep up the good work and I'll keep hoping for a May homecoming!
